Artwork, printing and posting
What is a scrolling 6 sheet?
A 6 sheet is the outdoor advertising industry term for a poster which measures 1.2m wide x 1.8m high. This is the size of bus shelter advertising and they can also be free standing units (just advertising, not attached to a bus shelter).
A number of 6 sheets are scrolling which means the space is shared between advertisers (usually three), they scroll up and down between the advertisers.

Can you help me design my ad?
Yes. If you require design services, we have a professional designer who will work with you to create your ad. There is a charge of £100 + VAT per design which is extremely good value.
The process is really simple, we’ll send you a briefing form so you can tell us what you want. We’ll ask you for any materials you have like logos and images, and then the designer will get in touch.
I already have a poster designed. Can I use that?
Yes, if your design matches the dimensions of the poster you are buying you can create your own artwork and upload it as a PDF after you place your order. If not, we’ll provide you with a production specification and you’ll need to make the necessary adjustments before sending it to us. Please contact us for artwork specifications.
Can I put anything on the posters or are there restrictions?
There are a few rules that you must comply with.
– Your poster / artwork has to comply with the “UK Advertising Codes”, which are written by the Committee of Advertising Practice. You can find the applicable code on the website of the Committee of Advertising Practice.
– No alcohol, e-cigarettes, fast food, sweets and toys within 200 metres of schools
– No political advertising on bus shelters
In addition to the above, some panels may have additional rules set by the local councils or landlords. If you want to be sure that your artwork is compliant, please contact our support team.
When must I deliver the artwork?
We recommend you to deliver you artwork 4-6 weeks before your campaign starts. This enables us to check the artwork and gives you time to make changes, if required.
The actual artwork deadline is 10 working days before the campaign start date. Campaigns that take place near or during public holidays such as Easter and Christmas may require delivery more than 10 working days in advance. Please check with the support team at the time of booking.
What if I deliver my artwork late?
If you deliver after the deadline, your poster may go up late.

Who places my poster?
We make outdoor advertising as simple as possible and hassle free, we arrange everything from printing to placement. All we need is the poster artwork and we take care of the rest
When will my advert be posted?
Most outdoor advertising follows a fixed two week posting calendar. When you book media space with us, it will be for a week commencing date starting on a Monday.
There is a five day ‘posting cycle’ where teams of billposters install posters across the country. This means that your ad may go up any working day (Mon-Fri) of that week, and it will stay up for the selected duration.
So if your poster goes up on a Thursday and you’ve booked a campaign for four weeks, your poster will be displayed until the same day four weeks later.
Booking your outdoor advertising campaign
How do I get started?
Our expert team are here to guide you every step of the way. First, get in contact with our team and we’ll talk you through the process. If you have an idea of the audience you are trying to reach and a rough budget you have to spend then that’s even better. We can help with everything else.
What locations are available for booking?
Bubble has thousands of outdoor advertising opportunities across the UK, from major cities to smaller local towns and villages.
Can I book a panel for personal use? I want to use a panel for a birthday or wedding announcement etc.
Yes, this is possible. But please read this article first: Can I put anything on the posters or are there restrictions?
I want to advertise on a panel near my business
We can help you track down exact poster or screen locations near your business.
Any information that will help us identify what you are looking for is a great help; a description, i.e. large billboard, a postcode, road name (especially if it is at a junction with another road), any landmarks nearby or if you can locate it on google street view, just send us a link and we’ll try our best to identify the panel and get you the information.
Do you offer discount if I buy a panel for longer than 2 weeks?
Yes. There is a built-in discount for booking a panel for longer than 2 weeks. The rate per week reduces the longer you buy the panel for. This is a saving on production as the cost is reduced the more you buy.
Do you offer discount if I buy more than one panel?
Yes. As you add more panels to your cart, discount is automatically applied to the total cost. This is a saving on production as the cost is reduced the more you buy.
There is also a built-in discount for booking a panel for longer than 2 weeks. The rate per week reduces the longer you buy the panel for.
Why are some spaces more expensive than others?
Outdoor advertising spaces vary in price depending on the popularity of the location and on size.
How far in advance can I book a billboard, bus shelter or phonebox?
We recommend booking 8 to 12 weeks in advance to have enough choice and pick your favourite panel(s).
Are there any extra costs involved?
Our goal is to make buying outdoor advertising as easy as possible for you. We will give you a full breakdown of the price for you to review and change as required before placing your booking.
Do I get the whole bus shelter?
A bus shelter generally has two panels. For the majority of bus shelters across the UK, bus shelter advertising is set up in two different orientations. One is a double sided unit where one panel faces into the bus shelter, the other faces outside. The other is two panels side by side facing into the road. The costs we quote will be per panel. (Please note that there are some examples where there are more than two panels on a bus shelter) but we’ll identify these in your quote.
Can charities get VAT relief?
Yes. We can invoice exclusive of VAT if you qualify for VAT relief.
To get this VAT relief you will need to supply us with:
– Evidence that you are a registered charity (or, where appropriate, an eligible body)
– A written eligibility declaration or certificate confirming that the conditions for the particular relief are met
We will then send you a revised invoice where the VAT is deducted. Read more about charities & VAT relief on the HMRC website: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/vat/purchases.htm

I have got some land or space on the side of a building which I think would be ideal to display advertising on, can you advise me?
We don’t do this ourselves, but we can point you in the right direction. Please send an email to support@bubbleoutdoor.com and we’ll get you started.
